About Me

My name is Ballu Lee, I was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone and moved to the states in the early 90s. I grew up in MD and moved to Virginia for college and stayed after graduation because it is such a beautiful state. I met my husband while we were both in college. We got married young and have been blessed with three beautiful, sweet, smart and healthy children.

I was not always a stay at home mom. I worked in the mental field for several years. My first official adult job is with the Army. I enlisted in May 2002 following 9/11 attacks. I stayed in the Army up until after I got pregnant with my second child. It was heartbreaking to leave the Army at first because I loved my job and I loved serving my adopted country.

I am  now a mother of three, with a B.A. in psychology and a master’s degree  in Education. I am a stay-at-home mom for now because I don’t want anyone else raising my children. I miss working outside the home but I love taking care of my three little ones more. I have a loving hubby who works 2 full-time jobs so that I can stay home with our babies. I will be writing about parenting, finances, food, exercise and my faith.

Note: I may sometimes write about my hobbies and crazy things people do that irritate me.

You can contact me if you are a mom and you want to share some of your wisdom with other moms who might be struggling.  I would love to hear from you regarding my page to see what you would like to see more of.  You can also contact me with you awesome mom nominations as well as possible sponsorship at the following email address.

    • Thank you so much, you are so very kind 🙂

  3. As a stay at home mom of 6 children…I applauld you for your choice to stay home. I had no choice because I have a chronic illness and could never work outside the home. I’m so glad to have been able to raise my kids as a home mom and I know they were glad also. It has made a difference in their lives… which I see in them as adults now. God bless you and your family!

    • Ballu, thank you for your blog. It is refreshing to me, also a stay at home mom on full disability, to see a mom so busy actually taking time out for herself. I always get so busy with “life”, that I tend to forget I need time for me too. Good luck in all that you do and may God Bless You! Also, thank you for following my blog also. Kim
