Working Mothers Are Healthier…According to a Recent Study

I read this article and it is very interesting and I like that they followed these moms for a long period of time. I think happiness is a choice and there are some stay at home moms who love what they do while others stay home because financially it is the smart choice. Either way, a mom who stays home might become depressed in my opinion if they have no outlet. As for me, I know that I tend to get cranky when I feel over worked. It took me a while to not feel guilty for  making some me time. I now know that “me” time helps me to be a better mom, wife, friend and overall person. It all comes down to why a woman stays home ro decides to work outside the home full-time. I love being home but there are times when I think that going back to work would be great since I rarely socialize with people my age (besides playdates).

My goal for this year is to make an earnest effort at reaching out and socializing with people my age (not just other moms). I feel awful at times when talking to my non-mom friends because all I seem to talk about are my children. I know it is annoying and I am working on being more sensitive to my friends who are still waiting on taking the leap to parenthood. Well, I gotta get back to my loves.

Thank you for stopping by and for reading some of my random thoughts. Hope you find something helpful during your visit.
