Day 59: Reflections

Day 59: from slacker to fierce

So, I took some time to think about a good deed I was going to do for someone and then it hit me. I have not done much volunteer work in a while and that is a shame considering how much I loved volunteering. I had planned on making birthday cakes for a place downtown that helps struggling moms. I baked one cake and dropped it off in December. My plan was to bake one nice cake each month but so far I haven’t made time to do so. I guess, it is time to look over my list of obligations to see where I can make adjustments because I should be doing more to help others.

Like I said earlier in the month, this book and the overall experience of going through this journey has been teaching me a lot. I hope that you are able to take away something helpful during your visits. I love this book and how it is helping me to stop and evaluate my life and my choices. Thank you for stopping by and for reading. I hope that you find something helpful during this visit 🙂

On a sad note, I am very sadden by the passing of Davy Jones of The Monkees. I love their music and my thoughts and prayers go to his family and loved ones. Rest In Peace Davy Jones!!!
