Day 84: Know What You Eat


Day 84: from slacker to fierce

How hard is it for us to know the nutritional properties of the foods we eat? Not very hard. In the grocery store, almost every food item is clearly marked. In fast-food restaurants, the fat and calorie contents are posted on the wall (although the print is incredibly small, and with good reason: the health properties of these tasty tidbits are, in most cases, so oor that we should rename them “fat foods:-“). As informed adults, we have access to all information that we need to make healthy dietary choices. Now it’s up to each of us to make wise dietary choices, or not. Those choices are ours, and so are their consequences.

Today, in the space below (in your journal), make it a point to measure ever calorie you consume. Then at the end of the day, ask yourself if your food choices have been wise, unwise, or disastrous.
