Day 97: Measuring Your Words

Day 97: from slacker to fierce

“A wise heart instructs its mouth and increases learning with its speech.”– Proverbs 16:23 (HCSB)

If you seek to be a source of encouragement to friends, to family members, and to coworkers, then you must measure your words carefully. Today, make this promise to yourself: vow to be an honest, effective, encouraging communication at work, at home, and everyplace in between. Speak wisely, not impulsively. Use words of kindness and praise, not words of anger or derision. Learn how to be truthful without being cruel. Remember that you have the power to heal others or to injure them, to lift them up, you’ll soon discover that you’ve lifted yourself up, too.

In the space below (in your journal), write down at least one thing you can do to improve your skills as a communicator.

Thank you for stopping by and for reading. I hope that you find something meaningful and helpful during this visit 🙂

your feedback is appreciated!!!
