In Memoriam: Making the ultimate sacrifice

Master Sgt. Evander E. Andrews

This is the first casualty of the combined wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Master Sergeant Evander  Earl Andrews died doing his job while on deployment. He came from a small town in Solon, Maine. He was 36 years old when he died on October 10, 2001. He was assigned to the 366th Civil Engineer Squadron at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. He is survived by his wife Judy, father, mother  and four young children. He was raised in a small town in Maine and joined the Air Force to give back to his country. I am thankful for him and for his family and I will try to honor him and all service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

I will be posting about a service member each day to thank them and their families. So many of them died and are still dying to defend our freedoms and I am proud to call them my heroes.

your feedback is appreciated!!!
