In Memoriam: Sergeant First Class Nathan Ross Chapman

Sergeant First Class Nathan Ross Chapman

Sergeant First Class Nathan Ross Chapman was born at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. His home of record was San Antonio, Texas because his parents lived there but he spent most of his military career at Fort Lewis, Washington. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group in Fort Lewis, Washington.  Sergeant Chapman died on January 4th, 2002 during an ambush attack after  meeting with  tribal leaders in the Paktia Province , Afghanistan.  He was 31 years old at the time  of his death and he is survived by his  wife Renae, daughter Amanda,  son Brandon, his brother Keith, and his parents. I want to thank his family especially his young children who were robbed of their father at such a young age. Rest in peace Sergeant Chapman and thank you for serving your country so proudly.
