Daily Scripture: Children’s Duties

We didn’t make it to church today because my youngest has a cold and I didn’t want her to share with the other children at church. So I decided to have a short but hopefully an important Bible study with my loves before they went to sleep. The following scriptures are from that Bible study. It was nice to see them listening attentively as I read and I tried my very best to answer all their questions, even the ones that were kind of vague.

” Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”– Ephesians 6:1-3 (KJV)

” Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.”– Colossians 3:20-21 (KJV)

” Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.”– Luke 18:20 (KJV)
