Staff Sergeant Juan M. Ridout 

Staff Sergeant Juan M. Ridout was originally from Harbor Oak, Washington and was assigned to the 353rd Special Operations Group, Kadena Air Base, Japan. He was 29 years old at the time of his death. Sergeant Ridout died on February 21st, 2002 when the MH-47E Chinook helicopter he was in crashed at sea in the southern Philippines during a training exercise. Staff Sergeant Ridout is survived by his father Mike Ridout, sister Jessica Ridout, grandparents Julia Rasmussen, Clarence Ridout, and Geronimo Torres and great-grandmother Orona Galloway. I salute you Staff Sergeant Juan M Ridout for making the ultimate sacrifice.
