In Memoriam: Master Sergeant William L. McDaniel II


Master Sergeant William L. McDaniel II  

Master Sergeant William L. McDaniel II was originally from Fort Jefferson, Ohio. He was assigned to the 353rd Special Operations Group, Kadena Air Base, Japan. Master Sergeant McDaniel was 36 years old at the time of his death. He died on February 21st, 2002 when the  MH-47E Chinook helicopter crashed at sea in the southern Philippines during a training exercise. Master Sergeant is survived by his and his now 2 children. One of his children never met him since his wife was pregnant with their second child when he died. I just want to say thank you to Master Sergeant McDaniel  and his family for making the ultimate sacrifice. Rest in peace!!!
