Major Curtis D. Feistner was a native of White Bear Falls, Minnesota. He was assigned to the E Co, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, based at Fort Campbell, Ky. At the time of his death, Major Feistner was 34 years old. He died on February 21, 2002 when the MH-47E Chinook helicopter crashed at sea in the southern Philippines during a training exercise. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1990 and immediately commissioned into the Army. Major was a highly decorated soldier who died doing what he loved. He is survived by his mother Arlene Feistner-Larsen and his brothers Alan  and Bruce. Thank you Major Feistner for your great service and for making the ultimate sacrifice. I salute you, Sir!!!
